Real Name: Nathan Christopher Charles Summers; Nathan Dayspring
Code-Name: Cable
Age: 42
Height: 6’6”
Hair: White
Weight: 350 lbs
Powers: Cable is an Omega-level telepath and telekinetic, or rather he would be. Unfortunately, the techno-organic virus in his system causes his powers to be diminished to hold the virus at bay. Cable makes up for his powers by being an excellent fighter, and expert marksman.
History: In several years, Jean Grey will die, and Scott Summers will marry Madelyne Pryor. The two will be happily married for a number of years, and Madelyne will give birth to their son. Named Nathan Christopher Summers, the child will be taken from them and sent to the future. There he will be raised by the Clan Askani. Before coming to the future, Nathan will be plagued with a techno-organic virus, which he will have to fight off for all his life.
The year he lives in is 4017, it’s a time devastated by the Great Apocalypse of 2007, and there remains little mutant life. In Westchester is the remains of an old school, and En Sabah Nur, now known as “Apocalypse” because of the disaster he caused all those years ago, rules the planet.
Nathan Summers was raised to protect himself, and by age 18, went out into the world. Not interested in Apocalypse’s offers of greatness, Nathan becomes a fugitive and fights off Apocalypse’s forces, the Horsemen Apocalypse created back in 2007, still young and active after two thousand and ten years. Nathan manages to survive their initial attack and goes underground. Suffering from injuries, and unable to get treatment, Cable passed out in the sewers.
He was found by the Xavier Security Enforcers, a group named after the X-Men’s successors of 2032. Nathan was treated by their medic, a man who said his grandfather was the legendary Bishop. Nathan was welcomed into the new XSE, and quickly helped them where he could. Since he was injured, he started training in their base, and by age 22 joined the XSE officially, now calling themselves X-Force.
Since the X-Force members all have code-names, Nathan tried to come up with something, and decided on Cable. He armed himself with all kinds of weapons, even “relics” such as 21st Century firearms and grenades. He also took on Psimitar an Askani weapon. Cable soon became Apocalypse’s foe, and took command of X-Force by age 25. Told by the Clan Askani it was fitting he led the X-Men’s successors considering who his father was, Cable learned of his parentage and the circumstances of how he came 2000 years into the future.
By age 28, Cable was happily married to fellow X-Force member Aliya Jenskot. The two soon had a son, named Tyler Dayspring. The two continued their risky lives, despite the fact they now had something to come home to. By the time Cable reached 33, Aliya was killed by his clone Stryfe, and his son taken. He grieved for days on end, and tried to take part in a suicidal mission. His teammates stopped him just in time.
By the time Cable was 39, his hair had turned fully white. Cable took part in more missions, but soon came to the conclusion that to benefit his time, and his son’s future, he would need to travel to the 21st century, and kill En Sabah Nur before he came to power. By age 41, Cable had found the last time-machine, Graymalkin. It wasn’t in working order, so he would have to wait a year before it was ready.
Cable used the time machine to appear in the year 2007, days off his mark, and decided to try a new tactic. Cable used his time’s history banks to pick a strike-team he could use to save the world. He hand-picked five people who he could use to help his agenda, and approached all of them, offering them either money or thrills to get them to join. Currently, Cable has set up a base for his team, known as Six Pack, and has officially made them mercenaries. However, Cable hopes to utilize the team to eradicate the threat to his home-time, even if it costs him his past. He has also managed to make all members of Six Pack undetectable to devices like Cerebro, in hopes no-one unwelcome interrupts them.
