Real Name: Charles Francis Xavier
Code-Name: X
Age: Mid-to-late sixties
Height: 6’0”
Hair: Formerly blonde, now bald.
Weight: 160lbs
Powers: Charles Xavier is the single most powerful telepath on Earth. Xavier can read minds, contact them, mind-wipe anyone that he feels is necessary, and control a person’s mind. These gifts are not treated lightly, and Xavier rarely uses his telepathy for any reason besides finding a mutant he can safeguard, or contacting his X-Men and students.
History: The son of Brian and Sharon Xavier, Charles knew his father for a short time before he died. Charles was soon given a step-brother and a step-father. His step-brother, Cain Marko, was a ruthless bully, who constantly beat up Charles and tore down his confidence. Early on, Charles began to develop his special power, and by the time he was twenty, Charles was a gifted scholar, and has a medical license, one he took with him to Israel.
In Israel, Charles took care of the sick people he found. Often using his psychic abilities to mute the pain of some of the patients, Charles’ career as a care-taker led him to meet another man helping the sick. A man who Charles came to know as Erik Magnus Lensherr. The two were fast friends, neither knowing the other’s secret, until a man named Baron Wolfgang Von Strucker attacked the hospital to find some old Nazi gold hidden in the area. Charles and Magnus fought off Strucker, and stopped his search. However, when Charles stopped Magnus from killing them, their friendship ended.
Charles would go on to have a battle with the Shadow King, and with Lucifer, the latter resulted in Charles’ paralysis. However, Charles’ pacifist ideas of a united society led him to seek out five mutant to begin his Institute for Gifted Youngsters. He discovered Scott Summers, Bobby Drake, Warren Worthington III, Henry McCoy and Jean Grey, and would go on to found the X-Men.
Soon the school grew, and Charles resided to a simple teacher. He is still somewhat active in the X-Men’s adventures, and keeps a close eye on them, but is now more interested in protecting mutants everywhere and preparing for a better tomorrow.
